That looks almost exactly like my Tigers list. The only thing I had different is that I had Lance Parrish in as the catcher since Cochrane played the majority of his career with the Athletics so I placed him there.

Would you agree with Norm Cash as their DH? Or should I put in someone else? Gibson? Fielder? Sam Crawford?

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been on Sully’s site every day this week working on this and his work has helped me a ton.

He has a section devoted to each team’s All Time teams with their homegrown players and their acquired players. I’ve been able to fashion my 25 man rosters off of his two rosters.

I’m going to go off the top of my head on this, but:

Detroit Tigers

C: Mickey Cochrane
1B: Hank Greenberg
2B: Charlie Gehringer
SS: Alan Trammell
3B: George Kell
RF: Al Kaline
CF: Ty Cobb
LF: Sam Crawford (all time Triples King)

Not sure who qualifies for what team, but that gives you hall of famers at 8 positions, and a should (but won’t) be hall of famer at Shortstop.

check out sullys baseball blog (lined of cardboard junkie – dayf version) – he did some great lists a few months back – i am a show addict myself – i think I finally played myself out though for this year – time to move on to madden or live

There is no doubt location is a factor in his somewhat low profile and value. Let the Yankees or Red Sox trade for him or sign him as a free agent and see what happens to the value of his cards.
